Wine taste and stay weekends, using wines from         Morrisons Super Store

Cost to include 2 nights accommodation with meals and 16 tastings will be an incredible:- £75

Itinerary

Friday arrival from 2.00pm Settle into hotel have an afternoon at leisure. Arrival before this time is possible but we cannot guarantee that the rooms will be ready; of course we will have a place to store your bags if the rooms are not ready.

Friday evening at approximately 6.00pm there will be background music and a full wine taste with 8 different tastes of red or white wine, where our guests are encouraged to taste and swallow rather than the professional taster who will spit. A later taste will be available for later arrivals.

Bread and biscuits will be available between each taste and a pen and paper ready for comments and scoring.
There will be no blind folded tasting and the wines will be clearly marked, after the tasting each bottle will have a price tag so that tasting is not influenced by price. The tasting is expected to last about an hour followed by lasagna and a glass of your chosen wine.

The bar will be available for the rest of the evening but platinum wristbands will be given to provide free and reduced entry into local clubs.

Saturday:-
A late breakfast 9.00 – 10.00 followed by a day of leisure.

A further wine taste will take place at 7.00pm with another 8 different tastes from the previous evening, again lasting about an hour. This will be followed by a Hotpot/curry/chili or veggie meal with a glass of wine of your choice. The bar will again be open throughout the night and of course the wristbands will still be valid for this evening’s entry.

Sunday:-
A late breakfast 09.00 – 10.00 with room vacation by 11.00am – luggage may be stored to enable guests to make the most of their stay in Blackpool.

The purpose of this weekend is to try out different types of wine that are readily available in a store but would not normally be sampled due to time and cost.

This is not for the professional or serious wine taster as the tasting will be relaxed, informative but informal. It offers excellent value for money as we hope you will tell your friends about the next taste and stay.
